That Crack is the portal for free major and independent mixtape music promotion.

Artists and major and Indie Labels will often give DJs access to exclusive material and in return, all the artist and Label is looking for is promotion.

DJs use That Crack to publish their mixtapes, they use the tracks to broaden their portfolio and develop contacts with the artists and labels as a proven record breaker and some djs even get record deals themselves. The indie artist benefits by gaining exposure and name recognition and possibly getting a record deal. The major artists release tracks to the DJ's to place on mixtapes and to spin at clubs and mixshows to try and create a buzz for there upcoming CD releases, this is done by the labels and the artists to increase CD sells.

Mixtapes are used by Artists and DJs to promote their work.  That Crack provides a central location for uploading and discovering mixtapes.  We do not sell mixtapes.  Artists and DJs upload their own music for promotional purposes only.  Hardcore fans use That Crack to get first access to new tracks.  Mixtape fans are some of the harshest critics but they are also among the strongest promoters for tracks and artists they like. If mixtape fans like something, chances are so will mainstream fans.

All mixtapes on the site are free for download. You can download a free mixtape every 15 minutes or  you can sign up for a premium account and download faster and unlimited. All money received for premium accounts are to pay for the average bandwidth that you consumed from our servers each time you download one of the mixtapes and it is used for maintenance and upkeep of the site.

We don't accept payment for featured mixtapes, featured spots are earned.  Work on your skills, break new talent, get exclusive tracks and submit high quality content and engaging cover art.   We know mixtapes and are strong supporters of keeping underground mixtapes real.  If you've got talent keep putting in the work and someday you'll be featured.
